Castlekeep Kennels is nestled north of Barrie Ontario.  Wolfhounds have been a part of my life since the mid 80's but I did not breed my first litter till the late 90's. Today we are have seven generations of raw fed dogs.  It is our belief that  a biologically appropriate raw food diet and plenty of exercise is the best way to raise a hound. They are a difficult breed to whelp, and a challenging breed to rear to adulthood. Our hounds are competitive in  conformation ring and in the field. This breed was bred to chase and dispatch their prey and are not couch potatoes nor are they Wolfies. Exercise keeps their muscles hard and minds healthy. They need plenty of large fenced areas to grow out properly and to remain healthy.  This is why this breed is not for everyone.  Please respect the incredible animal they are.
